Websites

There are some brilliantly creative websites out there today and some very talented designers, but it’s surprising how often even the best sites contain poorly-written copy, or copy that contains avoidable grammatical and spelling mistakes.  Maybe your website is one of them.  Quite often, website designers have to resort to creating much of the content themselves, otherwise the site cannot be finished – and they can’t get paid!  Copywriting is as much a craft as website design, however, and when content is written by an amateur it shows.

Website Owners

There is no need for the content to let your website down when the solution is so simple: have your website copy written professionally.  My style is naturally informal, which suits the way the web works today.  If you need more formal language, however, that can be accommodated easily.  I will work closely with your site designer to ensure the copy fits the space and style of the site.

Let me quote you for writing content for your website on a project or page-by-page basis: contact me now for an exploratory discussion.  With the web moving at an ever-faster pace daily, there is no time like the present.

Website Designers

Content: it’s every designer’s nightmare, isn’t it?  You come up with a fantastically eye-catching and clever concept for a client’s site and they promise you the content will start to arrive within days.  But the days stretch into weeks and you have to resort to dropping in sample text or ‘greek’ where the client’s fine words are supposed to go.  And still the content doesn’t arrive.

Delays to content delivery are a major reason why web design projects are delivered late – and it’s not even your fault.  Spare a thought for your clients, though.  They may be marketing or operations people who are not used to having to write creatively and they are almost certainly busy doing other things.  In addition, they may need to get input from colleagues that they need to edit and put together before they can send content over to you.

Now you can tell them there is a better way: bring in a professional copywriter to put the content together.  It will look and read better and put the finishing touch to their sites.  I can either work for you directly and you pay me, or I will work for and bill your clients.  Either way, you will get great content - on time.
